Toys

Content by Mitch Osborne

There are so many toys out there these days. It seems every other commercial on Direct tv is for a toy of some sort. 99% of toys today do all the playing for the kid. Have you noticed how all the toys these days light up, make sounds, talk, and basically entertain the child. All the kid has to do is sit down and watch the toy play by itself! And what’s worse, the manufacturers often want to claim that these toys are “educational” because they sing the alphabet or something. Kids need to explore toys, and be creative. Classic toys, like blocks, balls, even rocks and sticks, provide children with true “education” and problem solving skills. A child learns about gravity from a ball, about weight from bean bags, about math and patterns from blocks, etc. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on toys. In fact, the box is more educational for the kids then the actual toy. They create with the box, turning it into a house or something.

Trying to make some healthy lifestyle changes for good

Guest post written by Robin Gordon

One thing that I've wondered about when it comes to my friends who are in really fantastic shape is how they stay motivated. One thing that I've found is that they work exercise and good eating into their lifestyles, no matter what. A lot of my friends wake up an hour earlier to go for a run so they can get on with their days without worrying about getting in a run later in the day. I just may start using that technique.

Well, I'm going to try and apply other suggestions from my friends for my lifestyle, but I'm also going to look up some tips from professional sources too. While I was looking up some of those tips online, I ran across the site http://hearingaids.miracle-ear.com and after I thought it over a little bit I decided to go and get a hearing test to see if I should include hearing aids in my new healthy lifestyle.

That's just one lifestyle change that I have for this year, though. I'm going to have to start eating healthier too.

Boots

The Author of this post is Solomon Dejesus

Lately it seems like everyone has gotten into the boot fashion. My daughters wear boots all the time. There are so many different kinds that I am overwhelmed when I think about shopping for them. From time to time I will look at them in the store, but can never find what I think I might like. I just cannot wear the really high heels on boots that younger people wear these days. My feet start hurting just thinking about it. So I just keep looking and hoping that I will run into the type of boot I think I would like. I am kind of a plain person so I want black plain knee high boots with flat heels. And, I really don’t want the kind of boots that are too pointy. Let’s just say I am kind of picky. I work in an office with a lady named Tess. She just got back from a trip to Vermont with her husband. He was on a business trip so she had plenty of free time during the day. Yesterday she was telling me about her trip and said that she had splurged and bought herself a pair of boots. I looked at her boots, and they were exactly what I had been looking for except they were brown. When I get home I am going on our internet with Wild Blue Dealsand look up their website. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I will have the boots I have been searching for.

Don't let baggy puffy eyes get you down!

Do you know anyone with bags under their eyes?  Are you tired and ready for a solution?  Some of the most common causes of this issue are stress.  Again stress takes many different forms like stress from lack of sleep, stress from food allergens like grains dairy or legumes.  Various infections such as parasites, bacteria or fungus can also wreak havoc on the body.   If you have addressed the above issues already what can provide addition support is an excellent organic eye cream.   There are many great brands out there look for  ones with nutrients like coq10, or green tea or pomegranate extract which can provide nourishing nutrition and anti-oxidants to help heal up those baggy eyes.

When you are listening for a heart arrhythmia or murmur it is important to have a good stethoscope.  I found a great selection of cheap stethoscopes where I eventually found one that I purchased.  I use it frequently during heart and lung exams as we as listening for bowel sounds.  The nice thing about it is there is a wide price range so it’s easy to find one that fits in your budget.

Fall allergies aren't a flattering look on me

I always worry about exactly how long my eye makeup is going to stay intact in the fall because I have such bad fall allergies. It makes me sad every time but I take a bathroom break around lunch and realized I've rubbed most of my eye makeup off because of my itchy eyes. That's seriously no way to live, so I decided that I would do something a little differently this year as far as my allergies go. I'm going to see a specialist and take some extra measures so that I'm not miserable 24/7 this fall season again.

I used my Clear Portland Internet to find some contact info on allergy specialists in my area because I've never really visited one before.

As for my looks, I'm going to stock up on some serious concealer that has light-reflecting stuff in it so that my allergies won't be oh so obvious. Besides, I've always found that with the right makeup products and application, you can fake a good night of rest quite well, or a lack of allergies in this case.

Boxing my new love!

I was training with some of my personal training clients on a new speed bag which they really enjoyed.  We had a great work out; adding in some boxing really makes things a little more interesting.  I have been adding more boxing with my clients; it’s a nice way to work the upper body, while at the same time working the lower body, especially when you’re throwing those mean right hooks!

I really notice having a good pair of gloves while punching the speed bag or heavy bag helps.  Good gloves can add comfort as well as keeping my clients knuckles from getting ripped up.  I have also found using a hand wrap or taping up my clients wrist can add stability and help them to avoid injury.  I really hope more people incorporate boxing into their work out routines like I have.

Home Theater

If you’ve ever wanted a home theatre in your own living room, I highly suggest getting Satellite from http://DIREC4u.com/. Not only does it allow you to order movies on demand, but it also allows you to record movies that are being shown on “regular” cable television. I don’t know if anyone realizes just how many good movies are on TV now, but I will tell you that I have quite a collection of awesome movies stored right on my TV for the low price of my monthly Satellite bill. “When Harry Met Sally,” “Top Gun,” “Father of the Bride,” “How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days,” almost any Disney movie that you can ever remember, the classics. Not to mention that I have recorded seasons of “Friends,” “Dexter,” “Seinfeld,” and so many more! Lastly, I have all of my favorite shows recorded to watch whenever I want! It is literally like a customized theatre- right in my very own home! I recommend it to anyone who likes to watch quality television and movies.
